Privacy policy

Off it goes is run by Inference Works Pty Ltd ("we"), an Australian company. This policy says what we keep when your family uses Off it goes, why, where, who helps us run it, and how to reach us. When you set up your household you'll see our household privacy notice, which gives the full detail.

What we keep

  • Your sign-up: your email address and your household's name and time zone.
  • Your payment: Stripe takes your card. We never see your card number; we keep the record of what you paid for and when, with the name and email address you paid with.
  • The emails you forward to your family's Off it goes address, with their attachments and pictures, what we find in them, and your answers to our questions.
  • The people who get your evening email: the email addresses you add.

This site uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits and sign-ups. We never send Google your email address, your name or your emails. Questions to privacy@offitgoes.com. Once you sign in, the app uses one cookie, to keep you signed in, and no analytics.

Why

We use your notices only to build your family's calendar and evening emails. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Where it's kept, and who helps

  • Your information is stored in our own database on Google Cloud in Sydney, Australia.
  • Your notices are read by Claude, made by Anthropic, on Anthropic's servers in the United States. Anthropic doesn't use them to train its models.
  • Postmark, in the United States, delivers the emails you forward to us and the emails we send you.
  • Stripe takes your payment and keeps the payment record.

How long

While your household uses Off it goes. If your plan ends, your notices, calendar and feed stay for 30 days so you can take a copy, and you can have your household's information deleted at any time. Payment records are kept for five years, because the law requires it.

Your choices

You can get a copy of your household's information, have it corrected, or have it all deleted. Email privacy@offitgoes.com.

Questions or complaints

Email privacy@offitgoes.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
